Help! I don’t know what’s wrong with my child!

Your body is designed to thrive and be well. Unfortunately, when you look at the world around us, this is not common. We have to ask ourselves why? It all comes down to one thing: STRESS. Stress weaken our cells, tissues, and overall function of the body, not allowing it to heal and adapt the way it was designed to. Stress is experienced in three different ways; Physical, Chemical and Emotional.

Physical:

Prenatal: Modern day birth process with interventions such as forceps, vacuum extraction, C- section, and induction. Restricted movement in utero due to mother’s pelvic misalignment. Improper positioning of baby in utero. Lack of sleep and prenatal exercise.

Infancy: Overuse of car seat/swing/rock n’ play, incorrect use of baby carriers, falls while learning to sit, crawl, and walk.

Childhood: Falls, slips, and bumps during regular play, sports injuries, improper use of tablets and technology resulting in poor posture and over stimulation.

Chemical:

Prenatal: Studies have found over 200 industrial chemicals and pollutants within umbilical cord blood. On top of that, poor nutrition, use of medications, and popular personal care products containing chemicals and additives during pregnancy can all cause stress to the unborn baby. During delivery, use of pitocin and/or epidurals can create a more stressful birth for baby.

Infancy: Baby care products, commercial formula, over-the-counter and prescription medications, and improper introductions to solid foods.

Childhood: Processed and packaged food, household and personal care products, along with over-the-counter and prescription medication
*Did you know there are more than 80,000 chemicals that can be found in personal and household products on the market today that are not studied for safety? The FDA allows manufacturing companies to use these toxic chemicals in the products we buy everyday. See EWG.org for safe products available to you and your family.

Emotional:

Prenatal: Negative thoughts or life events during pregnancy, worry and anxiety, extreme hormonal changes, lack of sleep and relaxation, and the stressful environment of hospital rooms at time of delivery.

Infancy: Bright lights in the delivery room, being away from mom after birth, limited skin-to-skin contact, inadequate amount of time nursing.

Childhood: Difficult or worrisome situations with family or friends, excessive pressure to perform at school, worry created from exposure to news and media.

So, things are stressful.. What now?

Studies have found that approximately 80 percent of all newborns have some form of nerve dysfunction, which prevents the body from healing and functioning at 100%. This is where pediatric chiropractic comes in! We understand that you cannot focus on sickness and disease and expect to have health that thrives. Treating symptoms and refusing to look at the body as a whole, self-healing system is a harmful mistake that is all too common. In our office, we take a broader approach to your child’s health, look at how your child is functioning. At Innate Health Chiropractic we help restore and maintain your child’s health and wellness by working to remove the stress to their nervous system. The Chiropractic Adjustment removes subluxations (a misalignment of the spine causing a stressful response by the body) so your child can continue to function naturally and adapt to the world around them!

Innate = Inborn
Health = 100% Function

What chiropractic offers is not the treatment of conditions or the mere easing of symptoms, but instead restoration of nerve system performance, which affects physical, social, emotional, mental, and spiritual expression.
